Welcome to I'm With Her
Release Date: 05/06/2021
Description: Welcome to the "I'm With Her" podcast - a safe space to chat all things female. Hosted by I'm With Her founder Izzy, and IWH member co-host Calie this podcast is a bright, feverish, frustrated ball of complicated emotions. Just like all of us. On this weeks show we’ll be discussing a new study into mental health and miscarriage, discussing the top three stories that have sparked discussion in our Facebook group and we’ll both be dropping our confessions for the week right here and they are juicy and embarrassing and down right the perfect way to kick off the IWH Podcast. #confessthursdays Disclaimer: The conversations we have tackle some traumatic topics so we will be sure to include trigger warning messages where needed. We use the term women throughout our discussions and this applies to anyone who identifies as a woman. We also acknowledge the strength of our non-binary friends who face significant barriers to equality and (fair treatment) remain fighting for their general human rights. – we are also with you and we’ve got your back. Oh yes...and we swear a bit too so maybe if you have little ones around pop your headphones in or listen another time. Trigger Warning: One of our discussion topics is about miscarriage and loss so if this is a trigger for you we have added in a warning so you can skip ahead. When can you ask for money in a relationship
Release Date: 04/02/2020
Description: My girlfriend of 6 months has been out of work for the past two weeks and she just got word that she will be laid off permanently. She asked me could she move in with me. I told her that I'm not ready to share my home with anyone. She offered to pay half the bills; I declined. She then proceeded to ask me could I pay her rent for next month. I told her that I'm uncomfortable doing things that a husband should do, for my girlfriend but I told her that she could borrow $300. She says that I'm wrong for not helping her out during her time of need but that isn't the case from my perspective. She says that she isn't sure that she will continue dating me. Am I in the wrong here or is this just another case of woman feeling entitled?
