Today, Sunday November 29 - James 4 - The Book of James is such a practical book.  It meets us right where we are!  James has been talking about spiritual maturity, being a grown up believer!  In Chapter 1, the marks of a spiritually mature people is that they can face trials and temptations with patience and overcome them.  They will be obedient doers of the Word.  In Chapter 2, they will not be partial in their respect to the social status of a person. They will prove the genuineness of their faith with their works.  In Chapter 3, they will learn to control their tongues and seek the wisdom that is from above!  Now in Chapter 4, James is going to deal with the strife and conflict that has surfaced in the church among the believers.  How tragic it is when believers can't get along with each other.  Jesus said the greatest testimony we have to the world around us, is that we love one another because of our oneness in Him. (John 13-17)  The church that has the greatest witness for Jesus Christ, is the church that has wonderful unity with the most diversity!  Unity with diversity!  In this passage in James, we will learn what lies at the root of our conflict with other believers!
