Jehovah-Rapha - Bitter Things Can Bring Great Blessings

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Sunday August 9 – Jehovah-Rapha – The LORD Who Heals. God’s Grace to forgive the person who offends you is God’s medicine that brings healing to the bitter things that happen to us in life. Often times the greatest pain will produce the greatest blessings, not only to me but also for many others for years to come. Remember the story of Joseph! His brothers sought to kill him but ended up selling him into slavery. In Egypt, he was falsely accused and ended up in a prison. But though it all, he kept his faith in God and God’s providence. Then when his brothers came to him one last time in Egypt, after their dad died, to ask forgiveness, Joseph responded with these words: Genesis 50:19-21 “But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God?  As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.  So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.” Joseph could have become very bitter but instead, he saw the hand of God in everything and became a better and blessed person who brought hope and life to millions, even to this day! God bless!
