You need to realize a BITTER test can come after a SWEET triumph. Exodus 15:22-24 (NLT2) – Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the desert of Shur. They traveled in this desert for three days without finding any water. 23 When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”). 24 Then the people complained and turned against Moses. “What are we going to drink?” they demanded. 2. You must cry out to The LORD for HELP when you’re dealing with bitter PEOPLE, PLACES or PREDICAMENTS. Exodus 15:25 (NLT2) – So Moses cried out to the LORD for help, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. It was there at Marah that the LORD set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him. JEHOVAH-RAPHA: THE LORD Who HEALS, Pt. 2 1. Psalm 73:21-26 (NLT2) – Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. 22 I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. 23 Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. 24 You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. 26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Job 3:20 (ASV) – Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, And life unto the bitter in soul; 2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV) – if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Psalm 103:2-3 (ESV) – Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 147:3 (ESV) – He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ 2.
