God continues to call his people to repent and change their hearts. But they rejected him in their hearts, in their minds, with their eyes, and with their ears. They rejected him with all of their actions, and with the way they live their lives. They spoke falsehood about the Lord God. They said he will do nothing to us. It’s the same original sin as in the Garden of Eden. Man has been saying everything is OK I can live the way I want to from the beginning of creation. What a powerful message for us today.
