Summary
Today, Friday October 16 - The Bible could be rightly called "A Prayer Book". The entire Bible is God's Word to us, to assist and help us "reconnect" to God. God's great desire is to have a personal relationship with every human being He has created. As you read the Bible it is clear that God has open His door and the windows of heaven to the prayers of our heart. Prayer is our means of connecting to the Awesome Creator God of the Universe! Oswald Chambers said, "Prayer is not preparation for the work, prayer is the work." In the pattern Jesus gave to the disciples to teach them to pray, the very first word is "Our". "Our Father..." The fact Jesus used the word "our" is that He is implying He is always praying with them. If I'm standing alone and my grandchildren come up, I might say to someone nearby, "These are 'my' grandchildren." But if my wife is alongside me, I would say, "These are 'our' grandchildren." Do you see the picture? Jesus is trying to tell us that when we pray, He is always there with us praying too. Jesus alone has total eternal access to the Father! Be encouraged today to pray with Jesus! God bless!
