November 19,2023Jesus The DelivererSeries: Jesus Bridge Church Virginia Beach 11.19.23  Matthew 1:21 NKJV  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." ·      We all need a Savior to save us from our sins “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”- Romans 3:23 Luke 4:16-21 NKJV  So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.  (17)  And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:  (18)  "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HAS ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HAS SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED;  (19)  TO PROCLAIM THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD."  (20)  Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.  (21)  And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." ·      Jesus not only forgives our sins but gives us victory over sin! John 8:31-36 NKJV  Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  (32)  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (33)  They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, 'You will be made free'?"  (34)  Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.  (35)  And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.  (36)  Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. 1 John 4:4 NKJV  You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.  Hebrews 13:8 NKJV  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. One of the smartest things you can do!·      Don’t ever forget where God found you!·      This is your testimony, your story, your foundation!·      Build something glorious upon this foundation! Colossians 1:13-14 NLT  For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,  (14)  who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. We have been:·      Rescued from the kingdom of darkness.·      Transferred into the Kingdom of His dear Son.  2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Galatians 4:4-7 NKJV  But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,  (5)  to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.  (6)  And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"  (7)  Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Romans 8:12-16 MSG  So don't you see that we don't owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent.  (13)  There's nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life.  (14)  God's Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!  (15)  This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike "What's next, Papa?"  (16)  God's Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.    Hebrews 2:14-15 NKJV  Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,  (15)  and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Jesus delivers us from THE FEAR of·      Man·      Failure·      Death  2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. ★ Support this podcast ★
