Jim Heid of Building Small

On this episode, I'm speaking with Jim Heid, Founder of Craft DnA, the Small Scale Development Forum, the Building Small community, and author of the 2021 book by the same name - Building Small: A Toolkit for Real Estate Entrepreneurs, Civic Leaders, and Great Communities. Beyond educating and training, Jim developed a twelve-unit infill Cottage Court, and also developed - and now runs - an awarded coworking space in a refurbished bank in his hometown called CraftWork. Trained as a landscape architect, Jim received a Masters in Real Estate Development from MIT as way to more effectively integrate economics, development, and design thinking.
