Send us a textToday we have the honor to converse with Jimmy Gomez! Some of you might know him as Taboo; a member from the Multi platinum American hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas. However, he is so much more than that, he’s a Singer, Rapper, Dancer, Actor, DJ, Author, Designer, activist as well as a devoted husband & loving father. In todays conversation we talk about the great things he has accomplished as an indigenous artist such as writing a couple of comic book series in the Marvel universe one titled WEREWOLF BY NIGHT. The series introduced a brand-new Werewolf by Night character to the Marvel Universe in a story set in Arizona. The new Werewolf by Night is a young man named Jake who is be dealing with the effects of a family curse while trying to protect his people.We also discuss a couple of books he has written such as His autobiography, "Fallin' Up: My Story". In this autobiography he talks about his early years in the music industry and how he got caught up in the "party scene" which ended him up in jail. He had to make a decision on what was important in his life and he chose sobriety. He has become an advocate for those who need help with addiction and mental health. We close on his connection with storytelling and how his grandmother played an important role in his life. Even though she is no longer on Turtle Island she still guides him through his life.
