Jonah 3:1-10
from Calvary Nexus Sunday Sermons · host Bruce Zachary
The Book of Jonah is a foreshadow of God’s plan of redemption by grace through faith in Christ (the gospel of grace). As Jonah was three days and nights in the belly of the fish, so too was Jesus in the grave prior to His resurrection. As Jonah was called to reconcile non-Jewish sinners to God, so too was Jesus called to reconcile the world [Jn. 3:16]. As Jonah delivered a message of future judgment, so too did Jesus [Matt. 25]. Similarly, both Jonah’s and Jesus’ ministry results in: reconciliation, repentance, and revival. Let’s consider Jonah’s recommission and proclaim God’s message.Download this week's Study Guide by going to: studyguide.calvarynexus.orgPost service worship music used by permission from Adam Cappa.
