Judgement and A Hard Fought Hallelujah

from Dear Misfits · host Isaiah Vlasek and Amy VanArkel

Hello friends! Thanks for listening to the episode. Below are the lyrics to the song "Hard Fought Hallelujah". Click here for the link to the youTube video of Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Please watch it and listen to the lyrics.   Life is not easy...don't we know that so well these days! But this song is a great reminder of how praising God can be a personal hard fight because life isn't always easy!  Our spiritual health is important and I had a moment today where I spent a little extra time so thankful. Thankful for my relationship with God, but also that I got to see a moment where team members were enamored by this video. Also, that another team member though enough of it to share that with that group. That Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll teamed up on a stage that maybe was a little unexpected to perform a song that happened to be one of my favorites to listen to right now!  Thankful for music and cool video sets, wild hair and sassy tattoos. So glad that we each have a unique fingerprint and bring our own approach to the world. Thankful to have the opportunity to share some feelings about all of it! May each of you feel a blessing today!  In the end my goal was to share a moment that struck me today about a pair of guys singing a song that has such deep meaning. Also, that instead of breezing over the song because of judgement (or maybe just disinterest) that you stop and listen; that if you know the background of that person a little more that you may have a whole different appreciation for them!  But in order to know them more you have to ask some questions and be open to hear or find out the answers. Isaiah and I always want to leave you with a practical thing to try. Watching this video and reflecting on the lyrics is what we would love you to do and just see if it's moving to you. It's ok if is not.  Thank you for tuning in to this episode. Please subscribe, like and share any episodes you think that would be good for a person you know.  If you would like to submit a question, topic or even a testimonial about the podcast please click here.  We appreciate you!

Stop being afraid to say what you want, and go out ther The Art of Arms l’Arte Dell Armi At the Art of Arms we have one solitary vision, to bring the historical martial arts we study as HEMA or WMA practitioners to life by telling the stories of those who lived it. The hours of research, writing, transcription and translation are worth it when we get to see Altoni’s Spiedo section in action at the Baglioni Palazzo, Fiore’s armor techniques displayed on the battlefields of San Giovanni in Persiceto, Liectenauer’s rossfechten techniques thundering across the terrain of southern Germany, the Anonimo’s sword and gauntlet brought to bear in the lists of Mantua; these are the moments where history and martial arts meet, and we’re dedicated to bringing these moments to you our dear listeners. We hope you enjoy! Pour The Water Haleen Sweet friends, dear souls, We are proud to introduce you to the first track of our New Album concept, which characterizes both Electronic and acoustic Tribal elements. All tracks will describe one of the zodiac signs, starting with Aquarius. "Pour the Water" is a mixture of the zodiac indeed, describing the main energies of this sign, but at the same time it refers to the pratice of Shivambu.
