Today we will read about God fulfilling his promise in Jeremiah 29:10-14- God would bring the people back from exile because he knows the plans that He has in mind for them. Plans for shalom and not calamity- to give them a future and hope. Then they would call on Him and pray to Him and He would listen to them. They would seek Him and find Him when they searched Him with all their hearts and He would be found by them. In our discussion for daily application we will apply this same lesson to OUR lives, as well. God still knows the plans He has for us. Plans for shalom and not calamity, to give us a future and a hope. We are still to call on Him, come and pray to Him, and God will listen to us. We are seek God and He promises that He will be found when we search for Him with our whole hearts. We will read Matthew 7:7-11, which tells us to "Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives and the one who seeks finds and to the one who knocks it shall be opened. For what man among you, when his son asks him for bread will give him a stone? Or when he asks for a fish will give him a snake?
