Today we will read about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refusing to worship the fake god that King Nebuchadnezzar set up. The punishment for failing to do so was to be thrown into a fiery oven. We will read about the king giving the 3 friends a second chance to worship the idol, declaring that no god could save them from the fate of the oven and see the dedication to their faith in God as they told the king that God was indeed capable of saving them, but even if God chose not to they would not choose to worship the false idol. In our discussion for daily application we will talk about how NOTHING is impossible for our wonderful, all powerful God. Even the king of Babylon declared that no other god was capable of doing what The Most High God could do after he saw a fourth figure in the flames with the 3 friends, protecting them.
