June 22 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

In today's reading the king will be given a dream by God and he will ask for something impossible- for someone to tell him what his dream was before telling him what it means. We will see Daniel go to God and request to be told what the dream was and for understanding of it, all the while acknowledging that it is God alone who knows these things. Daniel said that he was not wiser than anyone else, it was God's choice to reveal these things to him so that the king would know about the dreams that God had sent him.  In our discussion for daily application we will talk about being sure to acknowledge that God is the one who imparts wisdom, opens our eyes, opens our ears, and chooses to whom He will impart wisdom and reveal hidden things. God used those events to move Daniel into the position He wanted Daniel to be in so that Daniel could do the good works God had prepared ahead of time for him to do.
