June 8 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

Today we will read about Jesus and some of what he would experience as he paid the price for our sins. We will read about God's promise to care for us with His kindness, which lasts forever and be encouraged to be joyful for this great gift He has given to us. We will also read about Jesus being taught by God and God's promise to personally teach us and give us great peace. In our discussion for daily application we will read John 14: 15-27. In these verses Jesus tells us that when he speaks he is speaking God's words and we also will be given the Holy Spirit to teach us and speak through us! Jesus explains that He is in the Father, the Father is in him, he is in us, and the Holy Spirit is in us. We are all one with the Father! Additionally, Jesus tells us he left us with his peace (shalom), which is exactly what God promised in today's reading, Isaiah Chapter 54:13! We will also read Matthew 10:18-20, which tells us that when we need to speak to people about God we do not need to be afraid or concerned about what to say because the Holy Spirit will speak through us! We will read 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 which is written by Paul, explaining that we have received the Spirit of God, not the spirit of the world, so only those with the Spirit of God can understand what the Spirit teaches. The world will consider the teachings of the Holy Spirit to be foolishness. We have been given the Spirit to understand the things freely given to us by God and we speak to each other about spiritual things taught to us by the spirit for other people who ALSO have God's Spirit. Paul reminds us that WE have the mind of Jesus! So what can we do with this amazing gift and relationship that we have with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? Literally EVERYTHING! We can do ALL THINGS through Christ! NOTHING is impossible! Talk to God and ask Him what He wants you to know.  LISTEN to what the Holy Spirit teaches you and then obey! You have the mind of Jesus, who is in the Father and the Father is in Him and Jesus is in YOU! We are ONE WITH GOD! You can do it.
