Just the Way You Are is the third track off of Billy’s fifth and unbelievable album, “The Stranger” and the song that made Billy Joel an International Superstar. It was released as the album’s lead single in September of 1977 and went to #3 in February of 1978. Just the Way You Are became Billy Joel’s first gold single AND garnered two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1979. He was also playing it on Saturday Night Live when Chevy Chase and Bill Murray were having a fist fight backstage.
