On that fateful day, a 14-year-old boy, fuelled by recklessness and a disregard for the safety of others, made a grave choice. He stole a car, a powerful machine that should have been beyond his reach and began racing it through the populated suburbs at breakneck speeds of up to 150 kilometres per hour.
