Your evening Kansas weather update Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings are active across Kansas this Tuesday evening, with storms racing northeast at 50 miles per hour. The most immediate threat is southwest of Nickerson in South Central Kansas, where a particularly intense cell continues to strengthen. This morning started mild at 65 degrees around 8 A.M., but temperatures climbed steadily through the afternoon, reaching 82 degrees by 4 P.M.
