It cuts right through a jacket even though the thermometer says spring. In the next 24 hours. The front slides south tonight and drags storms behind it. North Central Kentucky catches the worst of it. Thunderstorms roll in after midnight with heavy rain. Half an inch to three quarters of an inch likely. Lows near 56 degrees. Down in Central Kentucky, rain chances sit closer to a coin flip tonight. South Central stays the warmest pocket. Highs push 73 degrees this afternoon with just a slight chance of showers after 11 P.M. Over in Eastern Kentucky, clouds thicken and rain creeps in after midnight. Lows around 55 degrees. Wednesday is where things get spicy. Showers and thunderstorms go statewide. North of the Mountain Parkway, a few storms could pack hail and gusty winds by late afternoon.
