Kimi Ni Todoke Finale (Season 1)

In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Chika and Giana review episodes twenty-three through twenty-five of Kimi Ni Todoke. In episode twenty-three, Ayane and Chizu plot to set up Sawako and Kazehaya on a solo date on New Year’s Eve. Before abandoning them at the shrine together, the girls do Sawako’s hair and makeup. In episode twenty-four, Sawako and Kazehaya enjoy a chilly New Year’s Eve together at the shrine. Kazehaya learns at the end of the night that it was Sawako’s birthday, and, in a way, gives her many gifts. In episode twenty-five, Kazehaya exchanges his “good luck fortune” for her very bad luck one. Chizu and Ryuu go to the shrine together. Ayane reluctantly gets stuck with Jo for the evening. Kazehaya walks Sawako home, and they each internally reflect on their feelings for each other.
