Kishkuman and the secret society of Gadianton

After Pahoran's death (remember that great leader who fought to retake the government with Moroni) he had 3 sons who each wanted to take his place as chief judge of the land.  There was an election and Pahoran Jr. was selected.  Paanchi, his brother was mad!  He got those who voted for him to rebel... they got Kishkumen to go and kill Pahoran the new chief Judge (his own brother).  Kiskumen made all those who had rebelled promise or covenant they would keep the murder a secret.  Kishkuman then waited for an opportunity to kill another chief judge when Helaman was elected.  The Book of Mormon tells us this was the start of the secret society called the Gadianton Robbers.  It tells us that this society caused the entire destruction of the Nephites.  Heavenly Father wants to warn us and  help us detect evil designs in our days.  The Holy Ghost will help guide us and keep us safe.
