Know the Right Way to Calculate Pregnancy Due Date

from Calculating Due Date of Pregnancy - Week by Week Pregnancy Details. · host Avia

Hello Moms, welcome to our first pregnancy podcast. If you are pregnant, one of the first questions that will come to your mind is, how long the pregnancy will last?. Indeed, knowing the gestational age is very important, to help expectant mothers track the pregnancy better. Importance of knowing LMP or Last Menstruation Period. Pregnancy usually lasts around 40 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period. To find out the possible due date of pregnancy, count 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of the last period. Conception Date. Prospective mothers may conceive around the time of ovulation, which is around the 14th day of the average menstrual cycle of 28 days. To find out the exact date, calculate 266 days (38 weeks) to get an estimated due date. Ultrasound Examination. At some point during pregnancy, expectant mothers will undergo an ultrasound scan. This allows the doctor to check the growth of the fetus and monitor other developmental situations. This can provide the most accurate estimate of how many weeks the mother's pregnancy is due and when the due date. This method is the most reliable, and is especially useful if the expectant mother does not know the date of her last menstrual period or if her menstrual cycle is irregular. Conception is most likely to occur around 14 days to the last cycle, while pregnancy is calculated from the beginning of the cycle, so there is a difference of two weeks. For example, when a prospective mother is six weeks pregnant, the baby's gestational age is only four weeks. Is my Due Date accurate? During a pregnancy checkup, the doctor will monitor how the fetus is developing and some other important details, such as: When the heartbeat will appear on transvaginal ultrasound? When does the baby have to start moving? How high should the uterus be? This examination also involves calculating the expected date of delivery. However, don't be surprised, if the doctor gives a slightly different date of birth from what the expectant mother counts herself. Also, most babies don't arrive on their due date. Every pregnancy is unique, and only a small percentage of babies are born on time. Babies are usually born between 38 and 42 weeks, and it is absolutely normal for babies to arrive at any time during this time. The due date is also not a deadline. In fact, there are many large and small factors that can affect the due date of birth. For more information on Due Date visit : https://mypregnancyduedate.com
