Kyle Royer who is a master smith from America came over to Australia to the Blade Symposium to teach his skills to the Australian knife makers. He also ran a masterclass on mosaic Damascus for 4 days after the Symposium. Having tasted what Australia has to offer food, views, animals, the bush and of course knives. Jamie Bishop from Sausage Man Forge has a walk around and chats to some of the makers who attended the Blade symposium  to see what they thought.   How he has found his trip in Australia. Bushwalks and tourist areas in Sydney. How he found teaching live as opposed to online teaching and online courses. Getting to see the knife that someone made from his takedown bowie course. How Josh Royer is very responsible for masking the video and online stuff happen. Josh filming and having his camera tethered to a projector screen so over 70 people could watch like they were next to him. He enjoyed the knife sharpening competition and thinks that people should do at things like hammer ins. He talks about the work he will be doing when he gets home involving the other half of the mosaic billet he made for the show. Potentially making another sword after he's back to America. Chats about why he likes the show at Little Rock Arkansas. What it's like to have people come and show him their knives everywhere he goes. Tells us what he learned from knife makers specifically Jackson Rumble. We discuss the ABS and passing on tradition and skills from one maker to another.
