Lack of home help leading to longer patient stays in SUH

There are a number of Sligo patients unable to be discharged from hospital due to a lack of home care hours available.That's according to Ballymote-Tubbercurry Fianna Fail Cllr Liam Brennan, who has been speaking to families of those affected.It's understood that two 30 minute sessions of home help a day would be enough to facilitate the movement of some patients back home.Cllr Brennan says he knows of people who have been waiting to be discharged for the last two months.
