One of America's most prominent conservative media voices, Steven Crowder, published a video in which he demanded that "Con Inc." should "do better" in relation to values it upholds by way of contract with its talent and creators. The context? Steven Crowder is a media free agent. Formerly under contract with The Blaze, Crowder and his agent have waded into the waters of free agency and solicited deals from various conservative media outlets in effort to find Crowder's next suitable business partner home. His video, however, did not mention or reveal any company or individual names. Jeremy Boring, Co-CEO of the Daily Wire, subsequently published a de facto response video to Crowder's, in which Boring makes the case for why DW offered the deal it did, and perhaps why Crowder is wrong not only for his methodology but for his characterization that DW protects and upholds the interests of Big Tech against the larger interests of conservative talent.
