How is Leadership When You are in a Crisis? At some point or another ever business will find themselves in a crisis. Whether that is from inside the organization, such as a leadership change or mismanagement.  Other times it can be a surprise, where all of a sudden an outside circumstance such as COVID puts pressure on the business to make changes to survive. And sometimes mergers can happen that shift the culture so dramatically that create confusion, uncertainty and volatility. What is the role of leadership. What Glenn has found in his reasearch when it comes to leadership, is that largerly most people in leadership are ill prepared for crisis.  Leadership had to become agile, learn how to communicate and communicate clearly, and with different modalities. Leadership also had to empower people, because the decision making needed to be done on the fly.  The typical beauracracy and political rhetoric were thrown away for decisions to be made those who were in the middle of the crisis. While the events may change the fact is that anyone in leadership can learn the applications in this book.  And while you may have a tendency toward one or two styles of leadership, the fact is you need to be adaptable to the situation.
