Learning Is Good but Self Awareness With Learning Is Better

from Lalitha's Morning Musings · host Lalitha Brahma

In this Episode, Lalitha shares how she applied what she learned from her Coaches. Specifically in this episode she describes how she handled the following two parts that showed up. To quote: "A part of me was not quite ready to drive in the dark, but at the same time felt the desire to visit the temple early in the morning." "Another part of me was shy and felt shameful to ask for a favor from a friend for a ride, as I can drive ( I guess it is also ego or I am overthinking)." I know it might seem odd, funny, awkward to even recognize these parts. Does it not happen to us and we just ignore it? After listening please feel free to share your insights. Hello and good morning, today is October 12, 2023 and this is an article which is published on December 23 in Reciprocal, a sub-problication of Medium.com and the title is Learning is Good but Self-Awareless with Learning is Better. The subtitle is I became aware that I don't do these which were my shortcoming. In the article titled I built one habit every year during this cold month. I explained how I committed to build a habit by learning one pass-room of the Rabbi a day, boldly record a slow chanting of my voice and just let it go.

Here is the recording of the pass-room and that's where the link takes you to. Then I wrote, this is what happened when I trusted but didn't expect. There's another link I've given in the article and shaped my learning experience by learning and recording pass-room too. I would watch the online live telecast of Thanover Masam, Thanover month morning rituals, chanting, meditation, super-badam, river vibhambhavay, river vibhava, in Bridgewater Temple, NJ YouTube channel and learn through vibhava pass-room from another YouTube channel.

I don't know what to say, whether my devotion to learning pass-rooms or watching rituals online, I was blessed to watch the rituals in the morning in the temple, in person, despite small challenges, lessons learned. Sometimes we think we want to, we want a certain thing or attend a certain event and set an intention to do it. I was quite happy to watch the Thanover month rituals online. I also learned the slow chanting of one pass-room a day and record it.

Our volunteer buddies vibh, decided to make it to the temple today early in the morning. A part of me was not quite ready to try in the dark, but at the same time felt the desire to visit the temple early in the morning. Another part of me was shy and felt shameful to ask for a favor from a friend for a ride, as I can drive. I guess it's also ego or I'm overthinking.

I did ask and got a very quick yes from one of my volunteer buddies friends, vibh1 the night before our planned visit. I was fueled with enthusiasm and got ready in the morning. When my vibh1 the first volunteer buddy friend called to express their inability to give me a ride due to unforeseen circumstances. Well, I was watching the rituals online live and texted yet another volunteer buddy vibh2.

Then I just surrendered to God and hired power or infinidentalness as you may say. With a few minutes vibh2 the second volunteer called and said, I will see you in a few minutes. Then my picture in the temple I've given the podcast, pass-room, recording with Andal says, it all to validate how God shows the way when we truly decide. Thank you God vibh1 vibh1 vibh1 everyone.

Some of the things that I didn't do, I learned I'm within bracket. I'm still learning these by consciously and consistently working on my thoughts, feelings and actions and from others. I did not get upset when vibh1 couldn't come. I did not get, keep an attachment to visit to the temple.

I did not get to bog down or rush to be there before the start of rituals. I said to myself that when there is some light and no longer dark and when I feel comfortable, I will make an effort to visit. I did not stop watching the ritual online. I did not bother vb2 by sending repeated text texts.

I'm sharing this did not do list not to brag but to enlighten that for certain situations when we let go and surrender, when we allow others to help the decide events or things manifest. Thank you for being a part of my learning journey. Thanks to the following writers, Yana, Boston Girl and Jessie, Anthony for their amazing writing skills.
