Legislation Made Simple - Final Update on Bills

from The Quest Atlanta Catholic Radio

It’s done! The 2026 Georgia legislative session ended at midnight (more or less) on Holy Thursday. In this show we give the final update on the bills we’ve been following – which ones crossed the finish line and now go to the Governor for signature or veto, and which ones fell short. Although “sine die” means “without a date” to resume the legislative session, rest assured that the General Assembly will be back next January (although with some changes created by November elections) and will consider a whole new crop of bills. So there’s always a chance at legislative rebirth.Resources:Georgia Elections 2026Call Governor Kemp at 404-656-1776 (or via website contact us page) and ask him to VETO SB 220 and HB 1138
