Lethal Weapon

Lethal Weapon is in that elite tier of 80s action movies. It is a pillar of the buddy cop genre with some truly iconic scenes. And on this rewatch, we find a few more layers to it, some of which are tough to sit with.Danny Glover and Mel Gibson have incredible chemistry and command the screen, both together and individually. They hold the tension in the dark subject matter while still making you appreciate a good action scene when it comes.We also spend a lot of time on how this movie portrays mental health. It's not entirely great, but the movie reconciles itself well.
