It’s a collection of her correspondence with Max Ritvo, who took a playwriting class with Sarah at Yale University. Max Ritvo was a poet who had begun attracting a significant following before he died of cancer at the age of 25. Sarah Ruhl is a playwright who has been twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. She’s also a MacArthur Award winner who has been nominated for a Tony Award.
