On our Lenten walk to Calvary, the church sees the Savior come face to face with death and defeat it completely. Because Jesus did, the Son of God can offer us resurrection, the crown jewel of Christianity. One day, Jesus will give our dead back to us – body and soul, living and laughing and walking and talking in the new heavens and the new earth.
