The Europa Clipper mission holds the potential to transform our understanding of where life could exist in the universe, looking beyond Earth to the icy worlds in our solar system. It’s an exciting scientific endeavor that could offer the first clues about extraterrestrial life in the oceans of Europa. It will orbit Jupiter and make dozens of flybys of Europa, using a suite of sophisticated instruments to analyze the moon’s surface, measure the thickness of its icy shell, and look for signs of a subsurface ocean.
