“ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift”. 2 Corinthians 9:15 (GIFT = JESUS) The Bible Has 3 Basic Sections Old Testament, Jesus is coming. It contains prophecies; it contains promises concerning the coming Messiah. New Testament, in the Gospels, the first four…four books, we see Jesus is here. Acts- Revelation is Jesus is coming again. And so, we need to be faithful. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John1:10-1410 GIFT: Heb. 4:15 “ For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin” (Gift came to show us The Way) John 1:10-11 “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came tothat which was his own, but his own did not receive him.” (Sadcommentary) Truth: A gift is only a gift when it is opened and received. Truth : A gift is not dependent on the worthiness of the recipient; the gift is dependent on the grace and the generosity of the giver. Truth: A mistake repeated more than once is a decision John 1:11-12 11 , but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (THE NAME IS IMPORTANT) John 4:12-14 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name,he gave the right to become Children of God— children born not of naturaldescent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. TheWord became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” The GIVER: Left heaven. Became flesh. Divine became human. Giver was sacrificial. The Giver was unselfish. “He is full of both grace and truth.” The first Christmas, Jesus came to earth so that on the first Good Friday, hecould pay for our penalty! THIS CHRISTMAS: You can count on the faithfulness of The Giver! The post Life to The Full: Faithfulness appeared first on Impact Christian Church.
