The DroneArt Show says this one tells the story of a runaway alien and a curious Earthling, all set to music with drones turning the sky into planets, characters, and full-on space scenes. Show starts at 9:15pm each night, and you can enter two hours early. Wildflower Dance Co is doing Boots & Brews at 7:00pm Thursday at Watts Brewing Company, 15510 Redmond-Woodinville Rd NE #E110. It’s a weekly class, teens can join for the dancing, and the drinks are there if you want them. No experience required. Just show up in something you can move in and be ready to laugh at yourself a little.🎭 Opening Weekend: Ruthless! at SecondStory Rep Ruthless! the musical opens Friday, February 27 at SecondStory Repertory in Redmond Town Center. This dark comedy follows eight-year-old Tina Denmark, who will do basically anything to land the lead in her school play. It runs through March 15, but opening weekend always has the best energy. Tickets are $35 and the theater is at 7325 166th Ave NE, Suite F250. If you like twisted humor and big musical numbers, grab seats early.🎤 Duvall Improv Social Club at SoulFood Need something low-key but actually fun? Duvall Improv Social Club hits the stage Thursday, March 5 from 6:00–8:00pm at SoulFood CoffeeHouse, 15748 Redmond Way. It’s five bucks to get in, and you’ll get live, totally made-up comedy from a Snoqualmie Valley troupe that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Coffee, snacks, small crowd vibe. Good option if you want a night out without the whole production.👨👩👧👦 Career Exploration Fair at Redmond Library If you’ve got a teen who keeps saying “I don’t know what I want to do,” this might help. The Career Exploration Fair is Sunday, March 1 from 2:00–5:00pm at the Redmond Library. Professionals from different fields will be there to talk about what their jobs are actually like and how they got there. It’s geared toward teens, but parents will probably learn something too. Just show up and start asking questions.🐾 Hug a Horse for Chinese New Year You can literally hug a horse this Sunday. Farrel-McWhirter Park is celebrating the Year of the Horse on Sunday, March 1 from 10:00–11:00am at the Barnyard, 19545 NE Redmond Rd. It’s free, but you do need to register. They’ll introduce one of the farm’s working horses, you can take photos, and yes, hugs are apparently on the table. Skiers were towed at up to 65 mph through a twisting river. One champion was Don Ibsen, considered one of the fathers of water skiing. The race ended when the Army Corps straightened the river.
