Like A Flower

Morning Mantra: “May the flowers remind us why the rain was so necessary.”

I keep a container of fresh flowers on my kitchen table year-round. Sometimes they are cut from my garden, but most of the time I buy them.

I love the sight of them, bursting with color, an instant pick-me-up.  But I also use them as a remember that beautiful things growth through dirt, and need rainy days.

It’s easy to only want sunny, perfect days in our life. A life with no dark days, no storms. But it’s good to remember that WE also grow during difficult times, those stormy, dark times. They help us bloom into our highest self.
