LIMITED OPTIONS: Orlando Magic Face FREE AGENCY Reality - Who can the Magic TARGET with the minimum?
from Locked On Magic - Daily Podcast On The Orlando Magic · host Locked On Podcast Network
Free agency begins in the NBA on Tuesday night. The Orlando Magic will have to sit tight and wait to see who falls through the cracks. Even though the Magic have avoided the worst parts of their first life in the apron, they are still severely limited entering this offseason. They essentially only have minimum contracts to offer. That is the frustrating part of this offseason. The Magic have three roster spots to fill -- a backup point guard, more shooting wing depth and a third center. The Magic need to get an impact player at one of those with their limited resources. Increasingly, it has become clear that Orlando's decision to avoid the trade market has severely limited their ability to improve the roster. It might be a very quiet summer and a summer that will prove difficult to help the team take the next step. The Magic have indeed backed themselves into a corner. 00:00 Magic's off-season needs 06:20 Magic's Center Position Concerns 12:45 Orlando Magic's signing challenges 16:38 Targeting Collin Sexton and Anfernee Simons 23:10 Magic's trade market struggles 27:49 Analyzing player trades and market options 31:51 Magic's free agent strategy 35:11 Orlando's offseason signing strategy Everydayer Club If you never miss an episode, it’s time to make it official.
