Columbia-based Crockett Engineering Consultants was founded by Bill Crockett 39 years ago in 1985. It's provided clients with civil engineering and land surveying for projects of all sizes during that timeframe. Crockett promises the ability to deliver and the ability to make it easy. Crockett started small in 1985 with an office on I-70 Drive, across from Columbia's Cosmo Park. Today, they are licensed in about 35 states. One of the owners of Crockett Engineering Consultants, Tim Crockett, joined host Fred Parry this weekend on 939 the Eagle's "CEO Roundtable." He credits his parents, Bill and the late Donna Crockett, for their work in starting the company. Tim Crockett was born in Columbia and graduated from Hickman high school and from Mizzou, earning a degree in civil engineering. He tells Mr. Parry that his late mother Donna, a former Columbia city councilwoman, taught him the importance of building relationships and about generosity. His mother was involved in numerous charities and fish tries, and Donna passed away in 2001. Today, you see Crockett vehicles throughout Columbia and mid-Missouri and in other states.
