Tras su recuperación emprende una nueva gira intimista junto a Ricard Miralles interpretando sus temas clásicos bajo el título Serrat 100x100, una gira con 150 conciertos que se inicia el 6 de mayo de 2005 en Valladolid y finaliza el 14 de diciembre de 2006 en San Sebastián en una primera etapa. El 15 de marzo de 2006 recibe el título de doctor honoris causa de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid por su contribución a la cultura española en general y catalana en particular y, diez días después, la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en el Trabajo por toda su trayectoria profesional
