Today we are starting a new series surrounding our local government in Westerville as our community will be voting on four open seats for Westerville City Council this November. These next few months we will get to know all of the candidates so that we are all well informed when we go to the polls. I am excited for today’s conversation with friend, fellow parent, and candidate for Westerville City Council, Kelley Stocker. As a dedicated teacher in Westerville City Schools and parent to a 6-year-old student in the district, Kelley is a community advocate and is deeply invested in the success and well-being of local families. She serves on the executive board of the Ohio Council for the Social Studies, she is a faculty representative for the Westerville Education Association, and she is a member of the Westerville Planning Commission.
