In this episode we meet with our current Westerville City School Board President, Kristy Meyer, who is up for re-election this November. Kristy is a graduate of Westerville schools and continues to have deep roots in our community as she and her husband raise their two kids in the district. With her Master’s degree in Environmental Biology, Kristy has worked for over 20 years in the non-profit environmental-conservation space and now runs her own consulting firm. We reflect on the challenges and successes of the last four years and we of course dive into her campaign to understand her continued priorities of student-centered programs, safe and welcoming environments, meeting the needs of all children, and effective budgeting and spending.
