Local TD calls for improved communication on storm damage

Emergency crews from the Netherlands, France, Austria and Finland are due to arrive from today to help the ESB restore electricity supply to homes and businesses across the country. Many homes, farms and businesses across the North West are entering into day 5 without power while the lack of running water is also an issue for many.  As of last night there were still 180 thousand premises without power It's hoped the vast majority will have their supply returned before the weekend. Meanwhile a Sligo-Leitrim TD has called for improved communication from companies and organisations during storm outages.  Some of those information in relation to when services will be back up and running. Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon says many people have been left frustrated:
