Send us Fan MailI am a retired judge, Christian, encourager, and Bible teacher wanna be. Over the past year some lights have  begun to dim and after very extensive testing I am diagnosed with MCI (mild cognitive impairment). It is a place on the continuum of brain health and brain disease or defects. MCI is well beyond the normal deficits due only to aging but not yet to the level of dementia. MCI may progress into dementia and ultimately Alzheimers but it also may stay at the level of MCI which in short is this: with MCI I can take care of myself in my daily activities and try to continue my ministry work but the deficits are significant and may worsen. If it progresses where there is one or more daily activites that are impaired then it is classified as dementia.
