SYNOPSIS:When Agnes’s mother, Clara Dipesto, arrives in Los Angeles for a visit, she has just come from a holiday in Mexico. While she was there, she was given a complimentary souvenir on a tour, which she brings as a gift for Agnes. Unbeknownst to Clara, stolen jewels have been planted in the statue to be smuggled into America.Agnes approaches Mr. Addison for a raise, as she wants to look after her mom for the duration of her visit. On their way back from brunch, Agnes and her mother are followed, and hence a Moonlighting car chase begins. Agnes avoids the car that was chasing them but returns to her home to find that it has been ransacked. Agnes leaves her mother at Blue Moon to keep her safe while she and Bert begin investigating the case.Several unsavory characters are on the trail to retrieve the statue and are willing to do anything to get it back. A funny hallway sequence ensues to the music of the William Tell Overture.
