Louth councillors have hit out at the controversial €1.2 million bill left behind after Drogheda hosted the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in 2018 and 2019.The council confirmed at their Budget 2026 meeting that it will begin to make annual payments of €100,000 to clear the debt accumulated by the Fleadh taking place in the Louth town.Speaking at the meeting, Cllr. Maeve Yore said she and other councillors had raised their concerns over a number of years about the more than €1 million, and who was responsible for paying it.Councillor Yore joinsed us on The Agenda this morning to talk to us some more about this.
