Luisa Igloria

Luisa Igloria’s poetry spans more than 10 books and over decades of work. Her poems travel back and forth across the distance between Baguio City, in the Philippines where she grew up, and Virginia, United States where she now lives. She is the 20th Poet Laureate for the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2015, she was the inaugural winner of the Resurgence Prize (UK), the world’s first major award for ecopoetry. Her latest collection of poems, Maps for Migrants and Ghosts, was published by Southern Illinois University Press in 2020.
