Luxury, Experience and Reflection

We're talking about giving yourself the luxury of something that isn't a luxury at all!As we approach a time of reflection - yes, even for Normal Crazy People - we all need to give ourselves a little mental "elbow room" to allow ourselves fully understand the kind of experiences we want in our lives.Mostly, when I ask people what they want out of life or what kind of lifestyle they'd like, their answers tend towards the material and reveal an embedded seam of normal crazy thinking. People want things. And, when they get things, they want more things. And they want these things... now!That's not how developing your ability to create a life full of wonderful experiences works. It is, for most people, a gentle and revealing process. It is something that comes from within, not without. It is something that requires a little perseverance, patience and discipline... none of which comes naturally!And, yet, it only requires a little sprinkling of these attributes - something that you can allow yourself liberally sprinkle in your own life by giving yourself that little bit of mental elbow room.And a final word: this episode may well be worth listening to more than once in advance of the coming holidays!
