The Middlesex-London Health Unit is warning the public about Lyme disease for London and Middlesex. The health unit revealed on Tuesday an adult from Middlesex County has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. News of the diagnosis comes following a report there have been an increased number of cases of Lyme disease in Ontario this year. The province was up to 60 by the end of May, typically there is an average of 43 per year. From 2018 to 2021, more than 8,000 Canadians were diagnosed with the disease.
