In this series we engage Makers from all areas of the maker movement to share how successful makerspaces' have forged their story. Makerspaces are unique to their community, and grow based on those who use them. Hack.RVA is located in Richmond, Virginia. Hack.RVA is a nonprofit makerspace that is entirely run by members of its community. They have a very welcoming community for all that want to learn and use the equipment while also sharing in that comradery as a group of makers. Guest: Peter Warasila is a Virginia Commonwealth University graduate with a degree in computer engineering. He is now an imbedded systems engineer at a company named PCS in Ashland, Virgnia where they make automotive controllers. He was also one of the main creators in the badge for RVAsec (Richmond Virginia Security Conference).
