This week's episode of The Man About Town - Manteca, stars legendary coach and educator Steve Winter.  His friends and family say he bleeds green. After talking to coach, I just might believe it.  Steve will cry at the drop of a hat, according to some friends and family.  To me, and my era, he is as important to sports in Manteca High School as any other legendary coaches name you might hear. Coach Steve Winters, is an MHS basketball coaching legend and another great teacher and administrator who is in out town's Hall Of Fame.  I caught up with Steve at his home in Southwest Manteca

Naturally I have my personal top 20 stories that just seem to stand out because of their form, writing style and ability to convey real personalities in a very few words. From these 20 I've chosen five that seem outstanding examples of the short story art form. Stories like The Gift of the Magi; The Cop and the Anthem; Man about Town; A Cosmopolite in a Cafe and Mammon and the Archer.
