Mark Bittlestone

This week we welcome our very first guest, Mark Bittlestone. In his own words,  Mark is a semi professional comedian, unemployed teacher and nano TikToker. We discuss how Mark ventured into the world of comedy, fearing failure but going after things anyway, and the graft that involved in creating a seat for yourself at the table. Mark acknowledges his privilege as a cis-white-gay man, the role gender plays in comedy as well as the affect of micro aggressions and the need for having proper representation and role models.  He also tells us how he was fired from his teaching job after bunking year 7 parents evening in favour of going to the World Cup in Japan...
